Our home sits near the top of one of the highest spots in the central Shenandoah Valley at roughly 1260 feet. From there, we have grand views overlooking the surrounding countryside and I can say as the writer of Psalm 16:6, that the boundary lines have fallen for us in pleasant places. Looking to the west, and near at hand, we can see Little North Mountain rising heavenward, and looking to the east, we see the majestic Massanutten across the wide valley. And just beyond that, on a really clear day, we can even see a peak from the Skyline Drive of the incredible Blue Ridge. Our home is really in a grand location except for the winter winds, which can be rather brutal. Monday, June 30, 2008 - 08:58 PM

Several years ago, I joined a group of men that went to Madison County to repair some homes that had been damaged by flooding. The particular house we were assigned to was in a wooded area right at the base of the majestic Blue Ridge Mountains. We enjoyed our lunch in a church fellowship hall just up the road.
